Privacy

We collect very little, and we never sell or share it.

Analytics. We use Fathom to count visits. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't follow you around the web, and doesn't tell us who you are. We just see things like page views and where visitors come from.

Newsletter. If you give us your email, we use it to send you new essays. We don't sell it or share it. The list lives with Buttondown, which sends the emails for us. Every email has an unsubscribe link, so you can leave whenever you want. To keep spam bots out, we also keep a log of signup attempts (email, IP address, and browser).

Cookies. We don't set any. The filters on the home page remember your picks in your own browser, and that never leaves your device.

Hosting. The site runs on Vercel, which handles basic request info like IP addresses to serve pages and keep things secure, same as any host.
